About Drew

Drew Ledbetter was born and raised in Checotah, Oklahoma.  He graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2003.  While in law school, Drew took top honors as a collegiate trial advocate, winning the University of Arkansas Board of Advocates Trial Competition, and competing on the University’s traveling competitive trial team.

Drew began his career as an attorney at the Everett Law Firm in Fayetteville.  He then served the people of the State of Arkansas as the Special Prosecutor for Gun Violence and Narcotics in Benton County.  For two years, Drew’s office was in the Bentonville Police Department where he worked directly with undercover narcotics officers; specifically, writing search warrants, assisting with undercover drug deliveries, assisting with the processing of methamphetamine labs, and narcotics asset forfeiture cases.  During this time, he prosecuted hundreds of drug cases and had numerous jury trials.

Drew was then assigned the position of Division 1 Chief at the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he supervised several prosecutors and handled his own case load in Benton County Circuit Court. During this time, Drew tried murder cases, rape cases, battery cases, theft cases, and cases on many different types of violent crimes.  He then served the Prosecutor’s office as Senior Trial Attorney where he supervised trial litigation in the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Drew tried his first Capital Murder case, to a jury, in 2005.  Since then, he has defended clients charged with homicide under every section of the criminal code including Capital Murder cases, First Degree Murder cases, Second Degree Murder cases, Manslaughter cases and Attempted Murder cases.  Drew has successfully defended against the Death Penalty.  Drew is an APDC Death Penalty Certified Attorney, and he is a graduate of the “Colorado Method” Jury Selection course given at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
